This Saturday, 15th October, Heritage Unlocked’s Dr Tosh Warwick will be presenting two talks as part of Discover Middlesbrough.

HISTORIC MIDDLESBROUGH: A talk on Historic Middlesbrough: Postcards From The Past takes place at the Navigator North space (opposite Primark/car park entrance) in the Hill Street Shopping Centre (11:00-12:00). Tosh will be signing copies of Historic Middlesbrough and Memories of Middlesbrough in the 1970s and 1980s at the event. The event is part of Heritage Unlocked’s link-up with Navigator North and several local history groups on the ‘Wish You Were Here’ (Hill Street Shopping Centre) and ‘Give/Receive’ (The Masham) exhibitions. Visit https://navigatornorth.co.uk/wish-you-were-here-exhibition-events/ for more information.

George Camsell - Boro’s Greatest Ever Goalscorer: The second talk draws on Dr Tosh Warwick’s research for his forthcoming biography of Middlesbrough FC’s greatest ever goalscorer George Camsell. Taking place 12:30-13:30 at Base Camp, Exchange Square, Tosh will share previously unseen historic material and chart the record-breaking exploits of the former pit boy who went on to become one of football’s greatest goalscorers.
