Dr Tosh Warwick said: “Stockton-on-Tees and the surrounding areas have a rich history and a special place in many people’s hearts. The 1970s and 1980s are decades that tend not to feature prominently in history books of the area. Yet for many this is the era of most interest to them as the time associated with their childhood, leisure and working life”.

“The response to Memories of Stockton-on-Tees in the 1970s and 1980s has been phenomenal. It has been great to hear so much positive feedback, stories of how the book has brought back many fond memories and how many have purchased it as a gift for Christmas. The book wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the fantastic contributions of the local community and I hope it helps bring some Christmas cheer in these difficult times.”
